The City Council Barva, Heredia, ratified a 2007 agreement and decided to support the residents who spoke Tuesday and Wednesday against the development of a social housing project in the neighboring canton of San Rafael.
About 150 protesters arrived yesterday to the City Hall in the middle of the municipal council meeting to demand an answer to local authorities.

At the same time, council members agreed to ratify an agreement of 31 July 2007 which stipulates the prohibition of building developments, condominiums, residential or any other type of housing development in Barva.

On Tuesday, about 300 people blocked Barva main road to ask you not to run a social housing plan for 320 families in San Rafael, near the district of Santa Lucia barveño.
