Offshoring - OUTSOURCING INTERNATIONAL

Offshoring trend is not new, but the interesting thing is that it is becoming more and today estimates a market of 40% annual growth in the world with about $ 65,000 million in 2006.


But what is offshoring? Offshoring or outsourcing
the relocalizacón international business processes from one country to another, usually in search of lower costs and labor. Includes processes such as production, manufacturing, services, and even innovation or research and development (R & D).


Outsourcing Offshoring: is a situation in which the goods or services from an independent company, located in a country other than the original company. In short there is a foreign operation, which also is outsourced.


From a viewpoint of business process types exist:


Offshoring of services. Provision of services from abroad, such as call centers, technical service and administrative processes. (India, Ireland, Eastern Europe countries). Offshoring
manufacturing. Relocation of factories and production centers. Countries such as labor-intensive and low cost are the preferred destinations (India, China, Mexico). Offshoring research
and development. Known in English as R & D offshoring is the relocation of high-value activities such as research, product development, engineering and design.


The American consulting firm AT Kearney index produces an annual global ranking of countries with the best advantages for the development of Offshoring. They assess the financial attractiveness of the country, educational benefits and skills of professionals and business environment. Of a total of 40 countries in Europe, Asia, South America, North America, Oceania, compared in the study, which are best in the ranking are India, China, Malaysia and Thailand. We are in 5th place Brazil, Indonesia, Chile in 7th place. Mexico in the post 10, USA in 19, Canada 18.
