Orlando Zapata

Source: The reason is the media that Maria Luisa Tamayo, mother of Orlando Zapata, honored to present to the world she considers the political testament of his son, a humble black mason died after 86 days of hunger strike in protest against the inhuman living conditions in prison since 2003. Just a few lines that Maria Luisa dictates by telephone with voice resounding, proud of the legacy he leaves behind Orlando after his "murder." Only at the end breaks his integrity. Written in pencil

in a white shirt that Maria Luisa is not separated and that she sent him to prison just before starting his latest protest, following a brutal beating by his captors, the lines that crisscross this shroud of freedom reflect the condition of Zapata in prison and more faithfully represent the only complaint against the dictatorship in Latin America that still exists between the indifference of many. A piercing cry for democracy of an enslaved people of the Castro brothers.

in a white shirt, without collar or sleeves and covered in blood, written in his own handwriting with the remains of a humble pencil, Orlando Zapata Tamayo, Cuban last martyr, died after 86 days on strike hunger, he left his political testament in his cell in Holguín Provincial Prison:

"Orlando Zapata Tamayo. Hour, three o'clock. City of Holguin. 26 of 10, 2009. My blood in the service of freedom and democracy of 11 million Cubans and their fear to express more fear of being imprisoned for what they are. Long live human rights! Live! Vivan las Damas de Blanco! Live! T-political prisoner of conscience. Orlando Zapata Tamayo, who was beaten on October 26, 2009 terrorist by the police of the dictator Fidel Castro and his brother Raul. Fidel and Raul are terrorists. Abajo Fidel and Raul! Down fifty years of dictatorship! Fidel and Raul, you are murderers. Internal opposition Viva! Viva! Free all political prisoners! Freedom! "

To Queen Luisa Tamayo, Dama de Blanco
